Who we are

Founded in late 2014, under the name the Krakens, Colorado Springs Women’s Rugby was formed after several years without a local women’s club. The Krakens played several local tournaments and friendly matches. In the fall of 2015, the players changed the name to the Pikes Peaks as a tribute to the local community.

Since then, the Pikes Peaks or “Peaks” have played friendly matches and social tournaments in Colorado, Wyoming, and New Mexico. The Pikes Peaks are currently a social team and play 7s, 10s and 15s. We plan on developing a competitive side, but for now we are enjoying expanding women’s rugby in Colorado Springs.

Our home is at Flanagan Park – a field customized for rugby, which is located at 3132 N Prospect St, Colorado Springs, CO.

A group of rugby players wearing green jerseys and black shorts, some with muddy knees, pose for a photo on a snowy rugby field under a cloudy sky. The players are smiling, and some have their arms around each other. Behind them, there are trees, buildings, and parked cars.
