Ali began her rugby career in 2004 while playing for her high school team in Falmouth, MA. She continued her involvement in rugby throughout college and joined the Pikes Peaks team in 2015, shortly after its establishment.

In 2017, following the relocation of the team's former coach, Ali pursued her coaching certification and has since contributed to the team's development in both direct and indirect coaching roles. In 2024, she resumed her position as head coach, where she enjoys coaching players of varying experience levels and fostering a welcoming environment for all team members. Outside of her coaching responsibilities, Ali remains active on the pitch, primarily playing as a front-row player but also readily filling in wherever the team requires support.
